It’s Nandi’s birthday today 
Last year this time she was in New York celebrating her birthday and in 2010 we spent the day in Soweto, she bungee jumped at the Soweto Towers, we went to the Hector Peterson Museum & had lunch/dinner at the Soweto Hotel (they have crap service)! She gave me, Siphe & Lungi necklaces on her birthday. Siphe got a star because she was full of light, Lungi got a cross because she is our resident mam mfundisi vele and I got a heart coz I am full of love. She was studying at LISOF and she gave us some funny cards using a technique that she said she had learnt from school. I’ll never forget that day because I lost my phone and whilst we were having lunch Nandi disappeared for a while, I went to go and look for her, found her on her way back from the loo, she had a runny tummy after her bungee jump (it was a funny moment), I’ll never forget the look on her face before we both started laughing. I know that if she was with us we would have been celebrating today or on the weekend.
Wherever you are Nandi, happy birthday, we love you and miss you very much. We feel your absence every day.
