I had the rainbow velvet cake yesterday at Walnut Grove at Sandton City. The cake drew a lot of attention when the waiter brought it to my table because it is a visual delight, I imagine it must take a while to make with all the different colours. I was given quite a big slice and could not finish it, my husband had to assist. It tastes a lot like red velvet and the people next to us even asked if the different colours had their own flavour, no they don’t. So for those that are over red velvet maybe you could try the rainbow velvet even though the taste is similar. And for the mommies this could be a fun option for kiddies birthdays.
