oscars red carpet fashion pt1

Metallics were the trend of the evening.

Jessica Chastain – one of my best dressed gals in old Hollywood Glamour, it was simple and beautiful.

Halle Berry – I love this demure look and I have never seen vertical stripes look so good and in proportion.

Naomi Watts – The Oscar nominee went a little risqué with a cut out sleeve, she looks stunning.

My best dressed is:

Marion Cotillard: she looks stunning in sunshine yellow gown by Dior, this the dress she should have worn to the Golden Globes and not that orange monstrosity.

anne hathaway jennifer lawrence ben affleck

The winners at the SAG Awards 2013, one of the surprises of the night was Jennifer Lawrence winning the best femal actor award beating Jessica Chastain which leaves it pretty unclear who will get the Academy Award. Ben Affleck won again getting the acclaimed Best Picture award making it a clean sweep for him so far and hopefully *crosses fingers* he will get the Academy.

jessica chastain lena dunham ben affleck

I was rooting for Ben Affleck, Jessica Chastain and Lena Dunham and luckily for me, they all won! Despite Ben Affleck being snubbed an Academy Award nomination for Best Director for Argo, he walked away with both Best Director and Picture at the Golden Globes. Lena Dunham  and her hit show Girls walked away with two awards including Best TV comedy which would have normally gone to Modern Family.  Can’t wait to watch the show again tonight!
